I’d post my current tumblr crushes… but I’m slightly embarrassed by the percentages. Shit…

I just want to go on a quick rant…
A lot of the people I follow on Tumblr play the whole southern card when they’re not from the south, or talk about being in a “southern state of mind”… Southern is not a state of mind, it’s a lifestyle and it’s heritage. It’s knowing your family has lived down here for decades or centuries. It’s going to church on Sunday’s, and going fishing with your dad while supper’s getting ready. It’s knowing everyone in town and asking how their family is. It’s not locking your doors because you don’t mind when people stop by. We don’t drink out of mason jars and have a perfect picnic on the weekends with a perfect blanket and whicker basket. We all don’t have a farm with barns that we take instagram pictures in front of. We don’t all wear Southern Tide and dress to impress all the time. Columbia PFG’s are meant to be fished in, not embroidered. For the most part we get shit done ourselves… we don’t pay others to do it for us. Y’all isn’t a word that’s said to try and be cute. It’s something you start saying as a child. Down here we don’t “have a barbecue”… we have a cookout and eat barbecue. (vinegar based) And not all southerners drive a huge pick-up and fly the Confederate flag on daily basis. So to all you damn Yankees, you usually don’t know what you’re talking about when you’re talking about the south.

I hate when the person you don’t want to talk to keeps texting you, and the person you want to talk to stops texting you.
